Height: 32in; Width: 24in
Frith: “Maleager, hero of ‘Olympiad’, who organised the hunt of the Kalydonian Boar and in my epic took a force to the first ever Olympic Games as founded by Heracles in 776 BC, according to the gods urging the Greeks to channel their fighting spirit into the peaceful Games. This was illustrating the epic, and so was painted soon after its publication in 1988.”
